Bought these 2 new, probably 15 years ago and from day one they would not start without starter fluid. The ended up getting chucked to the back of the shed in disgust, was only a few weeks ago I had a study of them and found the choke would not/could not close . The choke mechanism was wrong and how many of these motors did Honda churn out with this wrong bracket. Problem was not with the carby it was the throttle/choke bracket. I have a number of other Hondas here but I haven't had a chance to see if they suffer the same problem
