Wow That's extraordinary to see what would've normally found its way into hard rubbish be returned to its former glory, You've most certainly taken an ugly duckling and turned it into a beautiful swan. Well we won't talk about the Swans at the moment will we ! Deplorable last night against the Giants.

I recall talking to you about this machine and I was really concerned about the level of work required to do what you wanted as an outcome but what you have demonstrated in the above photos shows clearly that this is child's play for you and your skill level. It's a real credit to you Scott.

I gather you retained the original 20 inch rear roller from this machine ?

If Scott himself (Bonnar) were still alive today he'd be proud of what you've done with one of his companies creations.

Thanks for the kind words BB. I just can't let one of these machines go to waste if there is a chance of bringing it back to life.

Your query on the rear rollers, this was what almost scrapped this machine. The rear rollers were destroyed, 100% smooth, cracked that bad there was sections missing you could put a tennis ball through As you know, almost impossible to find and I almost conceded defeat. One day I got a call from a contact in WA that I had previously reached out to looking for the rollers and he had a gentleman turn up with a heap of lawn mower parts he wanted to sell and guess what was in the pile, a complete rear roller assemble for a 20" mower. My contact stripped the assemble and inspected it, all perfect condition. We agreed on a price and on a truck to Sydney they went. The rollers cost me more that the mower did but it saved the machine.

I've just seen this one.
I have to agree with Mod BB's thoughts on this.

The image of the bare-metal frame and welds are fantastic.
I feel a lot of trade talent and craftsmanship there.

Another one saved and fit for service.
