SENIOR TECHNICIAN & HISTORIAN
Hello Jack,

It is interesting seeing all this vintage lawn edging equipment.

The old Lawn Edgers I have images of,I have not seen one in OZ.

The ones I have images of are from the USA,there are a few on American eBay.

One has Craftsman on the wheel another one has Pennsylvania, one was listed as made in 1918,
the seller said it was a P & O,the handle states P & Q and patent1918.

G'day Max

I have moved this topic to record these old edgers.
Your images are way-too-important. Thank you!

Pennsylvania Lawnmowers sold here in quantity, and I think their
edgers were part of the imported range.

Your images, I think, show post-WWII models - with rubber tyres.
'Craftsman' was a store brand - probably made for Sears.
[The patent date of 1918 is a trap - with these dates remaining
on machines for many decades].

I have a reproduction Pennsylvania catalogue from eBay's Silensmessor.
It shows pre-WWII machines similar to yours.
