Help! Cranked up my Poulan 2750 saw the other day and cut down a couple of small trees then the saw quit and I can't restart it. Have checked and replaced fuel (fuel flow to carb and cylinder seems ok) and replaced spark plug. I removed the spark plug wire and tried to check for spark to the plug. There's no spark (assuming I checked it right). Anybody have suggestions as to what is likely to be the problem? Bad coil? If so who can sell me the parts I need? In the past,I haven't had much luck with finding parts locally. Thanks. My wife wants these trees off her driveway!!! <stan@ocsonline.com>
I can supply you with parts, but you need to be certain that you have no spark, how did you check it? be sure that the stop switch wire is not grounded out somewhere first, you can buy a reliable spark checker for under $5 so that would be a good investment if you intend to do much work on small engines.
