Drive Belt on a greenfield 8 anniversary 28'

Hi guys I recently got given a Greenfield 8 anniversary 28' and the drive belt has broken and came off. I've purchase a new belt and put it on as I thought it should go but after approx 2hrs of mowing the drive belt broke like it has been cut. Just wondering if I've put the belt on wrong and if anyone has a diagram on how it should go? it has a spring tension on the top pulley.
