A customer gave this one to me.. never heard of it, apparently sold by Mitre 10. Anyway, it had cracked hose on side of engine, not sure what it does, but needed a new one and a carb clean. The guy wore out the starter trying to start it with these problems...........
I put on an electric start, works perfectly for my lawn. Some parts of the starter are missing.
Anyway I'm happy as it is near new. A quiet 4 stroke.

The hose you replaced is the crankcase breather. Doesn't affect performance but recycles polluted crankcase air back through the engine instead of directly into the atmosphere.

Speedy, lots of those cheap 16 inch mowers getting around these days, they come under all sorts of names, Sprinter seems to be plenty here but the usually have a Briggs fitted. Particularly in Melbourne outer housing estates, the yards are so small they only need small lightweight mowers

Well, it does affect performance; if it's leaking severely or missing - makes the machine run very lean. Edit: and it will suck in dirt, and damage the engine internals quite quickly.

I don't need the electric starter as I used the old school pull cord around that thing on top and it worked easily.

I cut a slot for the starter cord to slop in, old school......
Got it on Gumtree for $80.... got to be a bargain, starts first pull , runs quiet, sharp blades, no catcher, but it will last for years if you don't leave it out in the rain.................
You can't but spare parts.................
