The hoses are generic sized fuel line of which you'll require two pieces of and the seals and I assume it's the crankshaft seal you're referring to ? is another generic parts available through any CBC Bearing outlet.

There are no carby kits at all available for Kirby Lawsons although there are new carbys available from China via eBay and they are cheaper than a kit would've ever been.
Have a bit of a look and I'm sure you'll be rather pleasantly surprised.

Of the commonly replaced carby parts the float, bowl seal and bowl drain are available as Tecumseh parts. The needle and seat seem to be a bit more difficult to find equivalents for.
But as BB says, it's easier and probably cheaper to get a new carby nowadays. Look for a Tecumseh H25 carby, if you have a HK25.

I must admit I did trawl through the two websites that Mr Jones suggested and there is a lot of later model engine stuff on there, but as far as Kirby's are concerned it is their carby's that are the main let down with air leakage through various spots and thus a whole new carby will eliminate any of those issues and this one looks pretty much the same as the originals, especially when they are painted orange. At $22.95 to your door, it's unbeatable I feel.

Sadly that's been the case in most threads. People get all excited at the beginning and then lose interest or get side tracked, thus the thread goes cold and so do all us who've helped along the way.
Sometimes I wonder why we bother to be brutally honest.
The last successful thread on Model 45's was by the member "emk3" and was the following,
I know its been a long time since I have posted any updates on my restoration, however, get keen for some future posts to come. Due my final years of schooling I have not been able to work on the 17 inch. Yep... thats right, its still in pieces. As I stated before get keen because I have sourced the correct paint, a replacement engine (as this mower will become my daily), a catcher, new cork, decals and some other miscellaneous items. Therefore, in a couple of weeks after exams I'll be already to get right back into it. Also, I have acquired a couple more mowers which include; a 20 inch solid deck I bought today and a 14 inch I received from a friend a couple months ago. Enjoy the photos
Cheers, Nicholas

just a quick update on the restoration, I am currently waiting on a warm calm day to paint the frame and all the other parts the hammer tone green. However, I have managed to paint the cylinder reel and have it sharpened along with the bed knife. Also, I had a new set of sealed bearings fitted to the reel as the old ones were long gone.

the solid deck 20 inch mower was found by a friend at an estate auction. The mower was paired with a Mcculloch chainsaw and the final bid was $300. I had the reel sharpened along with the 17 inch (seen above), but had to replace the bed knife. Below is a photo of the mower parked between a bunch of furniture and a coke machine.
