With all the rain, heat and high humidity I'm afraid the eco mowers at my place just can't keep up with the growth rate.

We sure do Norm. We get them on our road. There's actually a dip just up the road from home I call "the skippy dip". I reckon I take out about one a year in that spot alone. When I was coming back from my road trip to collect my new ride on I must have seen 50 in a hundred meters alone.

And they are dumb as a box of hammers. I drove past two a while back. One hopped across in front of me at the last minute then turned around and came back for a second try while his mate waited until he was next to my back wheel and jumped into the side of the car.

You should try landing a glider amongst them. No engine so no beat-ups to drive them off and no second-chance go-arounds. And of course they stand in the shadows where you can't see them. Not funny at all.

And they're not dumb, they do everything deliberately just to get you!

Used to chase them off the airfield on a quad for other landing pilots. In drought times when desperate they'd simply hop off to the side and circle around behind you.
