Hi all.
Hope i have posted this in the right spot!
First time poster long time lurker on this great Forum.
I have been involved with the use of SB's for as long as i can remember. I grew up watching my neighbour mow his lawn every other day with his SB and when i was about 15 i purchased my first SB
from money earned deliverying papers. Unfortunately i had to sell that mower and a couple of others (20inch SB & 14inch Qualcast) due to house renos 2 years ago.
Fast forward 20 years and i now use a Rover 45 10 blade to cut my lawn. I also have a SB 45 as a spare - which im using at the moment.
Question being im having some issues with the Rover not cutting properly and im wondering if i can post up some pictures and get some expert advice about how to proceed. It has not been sharpened and set for a while but it looks like the bedknife is worn uneven.
Many thanks in advance.
Jeremy.

Hello BonnarMan,

Firstly a warm :welcome: to the ODK Forums.

If you could upload some close up shots of the reel and bed knife area and also take the chain case cover off and take some shots of the associated sprockets and chains.

I'm sure we'll be able to give you some good advice and get you up and mowing again.

BTW you have posted in one of the two correct areas, the other being "Question on Scott Bonnar Cylinder Mowers" which is under the "Repairs and Maintenance" heading, which is probably the better option but as it's a "Rover issued machine" you are correct.

Cheers
BB.

I live a 24 Hour lifestyle, but every now and again I seem to fall asleep, well at least that's what my wife tells me.
