Hey mate I have a Honda that I inherited and its late 70'S. Still works a treat as it has been parked up for most of it's life as it was considered too heavy. No idea actual year. maybe 78-79??

Hi Kye and slashnburn1984 is a bit late for me. I thought Honda lawnmowers came here in the early 1980s, but it is possible I am wrong. Cheers------------------ Jack

Just spoke to my mother in law. She's quite sure her dad bought it in 77 but possibly 76. It came with a plastic catcher which I have somewhere around here. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2016/02/full-9876-26903-img_4425.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2016/02/full-9876-26904-img_4426.jpg) She's had a few temporary running repairs. The bloody pull cord dropped it's lunch so I use my electric start. But I am a lazy bastard and not in a rush to replace it. I'm more than happy to pull her out over the weekend if you want better pics.

I bought mine new in 1990 ![[Linked Image from i313.photobucket.com]](http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/ll376/prc2008/20150429_113016_zpsu7hdlmpw.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i313.photobucket.com]](http://i313.photobucket.com/albums/ll376/prc2008/20150429_113003_zpsnec7angt.jpg) I treated it to a new set of wheels and a catcher last year for it 25th birthday, it's still starts first pull. I reckon it's the Rolls Royce of mowers :-)

G'day all,
It's an interesting question.
I'm not convinced that slashnburn's lawnmower is a Honda at all. It has a Honda engine, but Honda Power Products were here in the 1970s. I wonder whether we can get an idea of what the decal says on the front? It looks like an Australian-made chassis... (like an SB 720).
All very interesting. ----------------------------- Jack

You know something Jack, I never even considered that. Has a Honda engine and I just took it for granted. From memory it has a local dealers sticker on it.....somewhere....I'll have to have a look tomorrow.

G'day slashnburn
Well, there's something curious about it. The chassis seems to be a modified Scott Bonnar Model 720, and the date would be 1970s.
The height adjuster lever and segment is curious. I feel this may be a Bragg Jetfast with a Honda.
Well worth documenting.
Cheers ----------------- Jack
