Hi. I'm from Victoria - another old bloke :-)
Hopefully I'll be able to contribute a little after getting some help to get going.
I have just purchased a Scott Bonnar 45 with 3HP B&S. It all seems pretty original and doesn't appear to have done a huge amount of work. A few things need attention so I will ask in the appropriate forum area.

Hello waverider

A warm welcome to these forums. We can certainly help with advice on
your newly-acquired Model 45. The 45 is Scott Bonnar's most famous
domestic reel mower, and it deserves every credit, and it still holds
its own in contemporary lawnmower design. The good thing is, many parts
are procurable to keep it going for decades to come.

- Information on uploading photos may be found HERE.
- A good place to start on return visits is 'Active Topics' [from Top Menu]

For our records, it would be helpful to know the Model Number (beginning with 45.....),
and the Model, Type and Code of the engine (stamped in cowling).

Hope this helps.

Hi Waverider,

Great to have another Scott Bonnar owner on board. You've most certainly come to the right place and as such a huge warm welcome is in order :welcome:

As Mod CyberJack has already eluded to and that is the Model 45 is Scott Bonnars most famous mower and parts have been re-manufactured by a few 3rd party companies thus ensuring that the Model 45 will live on for many years to come.

As you are probably aware I've already answered a few of you posts so keep em' coming.

Cheers,
BB
