Hi as this is my first posting I have a well Victa 11-497 this is all the information I know about I am having problem with gear selection I have removed the gear lever and to me it should have a Nylon bush ?? over the Round?? end of the gear lever I am trying to find out if this is a common problem

Hi Jack , and thank you for your welcome Yes I intend to keep the old girl when bought the gearbox was locked so only 1 forward gear The biggest problem is the base it is plated on top of plated and still rust is visible I found these numbers on the engine
