Just put new blades on my mower and cut the front lawn. What a great result.
Had to do it as all my neighbours were mowing there lawns with brand new self propelled jobs.
What a manoeuvrable machine.

Sean, only a Hipster, like yourself, could bring out something Special.

I just hope you used the one-hand method: one hand on handlebar;
one on hips, as you sashayed across the footpath / nature strip.

As i am not the sort of fella to sashaye with my hand on my hip i did it a few times to try it didnt like the feel but will work on it in the end i did it with one hand in 10 mins with a beer in my hand and a durrie.

It's great that you love this machine.

I must say, there is something very calming about the muffled sound
of a Victa Special exhaust note. This mower oozes Australia.

A sashay with tinnie and sheroot would have looked pretty classy...
and the neighbours would have had to have bought your tomato seedlings
before they could grow them and produce tomatoes, so they could throw at you -
in envy of your iconic mower and mowing conquest. The irony.

Well, that sounds all so very special.
Great work Sean, its nice to have a 50+ year old machine that is functional, and hasn't got all the "break down" bits built into it.

One thing I always wanted on my old mower was a headlight, because for many years I was always struggling for time and often ended up mowing at dusk or into darkness. These days I have no problem mowing my lawn because Jim does it. Silly isn't it I have at least 10 mowers and a Greenfield ride on
