thats cool ian, make sure you plug it into your neighbours house. I got one back in the 80s and my dad lost his mind when he got the first electric bill. i used to put it on a length of rope and get it swinging back a forward, great to use but way too expensive. mine mysteriouly went missing the day we got the bill. got home from school and it was just gone, gone! makes me think of old dog i used to have, pay for one worming treatment and he apparently "left home".

Ian, I don't know how you find these things!
I think Dieselboy's explanation is the favoured one.

I note that SC Industries' website does not indicate that it exports
these lawnmowers. I think it must have been privately imported.

It's nice to see the legendary name lives on.

Should be cheap to run. Electricity is about 22c per kilowatt hour. Should be cheaper than doing the equivalent work with petrol.
