Hi,

I have a B&S 5hp horizontal engine on a Victa 370 Tiller.

I am looking for a user and parts manual to assist with pull down and repair as it is very noisy, smokey and no power under load.

If you post the Model, Type and Code numbers stamped on the engine's cowl, we should be able to give you a link to download the operator's manual and illustrated parts list. If you want to overhaul the engine, it would be better to download the B&S Service and Repair Instructions 1984, from the Manuals section.

Whatever you find, Karl, we are here to help. Old side-valve Briggs engines are rather straightforward to work on, but I recommend that when in doubt, just ask rather than guess.
