Hello ODK history lovers

Halton Motors were an early Victa dealer in Williamstown, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria.
Like many early Victa dealers, it was not unusual to sign-up car dealerships, particularly in
rural towns, to sell lawnmowers.

My collectible here is a piece of ephemera in the form of a letterhead from that dealership and
it would date from the mid-to-late 1950s. Note that they were also dealers for Nuffield makes of cars,
Australian-made Healing bicycles, Ferris car radios and Austral Villiers lawnmowers.

I like this collectible because of the glaring error in the spelling of Victa.
I personally would not have posted an order off to Victa Mowers using this letterhead. laugh
[Although Mervyn Victor Richardson might have seen the funny side to it].

The rest is history.

Looks in very nice condition to Jack, another one that's been sitting in a dusty salesman's draw ??

Hello Squizzy

Well, Williamstown is seaside - so probably less dust ... laugh

I guess every piece of ephemera is saved for its own reasons.
I would think there would be some commonality though.

As the ODK Historian, I'm always fascinated by the story behind the story.

The rest is history.
