Assisting my son with a 2 stroke Victa Imperial 16. Pretty old mower sat for many years, compression is ok, carbie cleaned out, but can't get spark. Haven't had much to do with 2 strokes. here are some picks, has been pulled apart, any assistance would be appreciated.

Took the points and condenser off, points a bit rough, will replace both this week.

New points and condenser worked like a charm, starts first pull. Where can I get info on how to adjust the blades, bit different to a SB 45.

Lotusmob, You have asked a question about blade adjustment.
I'm not one of the technical guys here, but I can answer that.

The Victa Imperial is, in essence, a New Zealand Morrison design.
The Morrison design was, in essence, a British Ransomes design.

All these machines had a clever reel-to-blade adjustment, simpler than a SB45.
The bolts each side of the real (inboard) are the adjusters.

Turn each bolt clockwise to decrease the reel/bottom blade gap.
Turn each bolt counter-clockwise to increase the gap.
It's as simple as that!

All very adjustable.
