Hi all. I haven't been on the forum for ages (might even be years). I am gathering info on the front dozer blade set up on a 1970's Rover Rancher. I think it is a Model 11046 (blue in colour, 3 speed g/b, 8HP engine). I already have a promo poster and the Rover parts list with drawing for the factory blade but I would really appreciate any actual photos anyone may have of a blade fitted to a machine. I am trying to grasp how the blade attaches to the mower and how the raise/lower lever effects the dozer blade position. Also, does the cutting deck need to be removed for the blade to be fitted. I have a blade off an 8HP Greenfield which I can mod up as I doubt I will find anyone wanting to part with an original Rover dozer blade.

To help (or hinder) and for clarity, the Rover in question is the one in my avatar photo. While I believe the machine is a model 11046 which had the thinner rear tyres, the 3 speed gearbox, I have fitted the 5 speed g/b with its associated rear guard (larger hole for the g/b)the later model front guard with grill and wider rear rims/tyres. This is why the photo is a mixture of 2 different models. The red was how the front and rear guards came but would have originally been blue. The frame is still the original blue though.
