My Homelite strimmer (model: UT20764A) has been running happily on the 25:1 fuel ratio mixed for my Victa Mustang. However, the handbook supplied with the strimmer (for models: UT20685A & UT20687A), states that 50:1 should be used. Should I switch to 50:1 or continue with 25:1? (This would mean only mixing one lot of fuel).

HOMELITE has had 3 different oils they have recommended. The old 16:1 has been discontinued and replaced by the 32:1 and EXACTMIX 50:1 in the squeeze-up bottle.
Either would work, but you have to be more careful of the exact amount with the higher ratio mix as any error is almost double = Trouble.
IF your trimmer is running OK, don't change
To avoid having old stale fuel mix, make the smallest amount you will use in less than a month.
