Going good know, put in the ultrasonic cleaner for 50 minutes (small jewelery cleaner) sprayed carby cleaner in every hole including the main jet by going through where the large screw usualy goes on the opposite side of the carby with a long nozzle. Making sure I was getting fluid coming out of the idle jet and the two little jets just back from the idle and the main jet in the middle then flushing out with compressed air straight away. I then assembled the bottom end of the carby and then turning it over but before I assembled the top I had a good look at the welch plugs upon thinking what you said earlier about how to install the welch plug with a bead of fingernail polish. I didn'thave the right welch plugs to fit but I did have fingernail polish. So with that in mind i put a small amount of polish around each excisting welch plug waited half an hour and then reassembled the carby completely including LOW mixture screw at one full turn anti clockwise from seated postition ( closed) HIGH mixture screw three quater turn anti clockwise from seated position ( closed) and the idle screw in . Once all this was done filled the fs85 with fuel but the primer bulb woudn't fill up . Primed it a few times and after three pulls it started and kept on going to my surprise then I turned the idle screw slowly but keeping it reving a bit higher than an idle. The low mixture screw was spot on then pulled the revs up high , with a little adjustment to the high mixture scew but only a very small adjustment it was spot on too. After all that it continued idle and rev normally and then turned the idle screw down a bit more and it was on a good idle . I then used the fs for about 15 minutes and everything went really well. Let it rest till cooled then primed then choked and went first pulled then taking choke off very quickley and a bit of a warm up it idled and operated really good. Very happy and thankyou Grumpy .
