Grumpy. The mower is now operating as it should. It performed as it originally did during my initial test, that being faultless.

So in this case, lesson learnt (Remind 4 stroke mower buyers to empty the oil out before tipping the mower over for washing. Unless of course you have any other suggestions.

Not many people wash their mowers so I suspect this problem might not be too common.

it is a true thing yes , a lot of people that buy 4strokes even if told when they pick them up .... (when you wash it please dont tip it towards the sparkplug) but hmmmmm , when it comes back it has engine oil in places you dont dream of . and always its oooh i didnt know that !! good luck there and keep up the job your doing , Dave
