Hi all, I am trying to remove and replace the cutting blade on this 2nd hand edger. Doesn't seem to want to move! Any hints or advice appreciated. Thanks. John

Hi Metaljar, welcome to Outdoorking. There are one or two tricks to removing the blade, starting with the split pin through the retaining nut. Here are the instructions from the owner manual: ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2012/11/full-2772-8749-victa_tiltacut_blade_removal.png)

thanks for the welcome and the info, Grumpy. Have removed the split pin and applied some WD40 liberally but the sucker is not moving. I put some rods through the holes and... nuh Have now got edger on garage bench and blade in a vice and am giving it a bit of a whack with a hammer - still no movement. Now that you've confirmed for me LH thread, I'll go a bit harder?? Worried about snapping the shaft, though. What do you reckon? Thanks

John, it's a right hand thread. Sounds like that was the problem. Glad you got it off OK. Sorry I was out walking the dog for an hour at the crucial moment.

Hi metaljar, and a warm welcome to the forum. You will find the Owner Manual of interest, also you will need to refer to it when and if you need to do a belt change. The manual can be found here: Repairs and Maintenance Questions on Edgers Edger Parts List & Workshop Manuals Victa Edgers and you will have to subscribe to this area. For details Click HERE. Once again, to OutdoorKing.
Please do not PM me asking for support. Please post your questions in the appropriate forums, as the replies it may receive may help all members, not just the individual member. Kindest Regards, Darryl
