Not sure why but a while back I went a bit nuts on chainsaws.
I have since gotten a firmer grip on reality.
Started with this one Dad picked up at the tip.
ProMac 610. Runs ok but its burning bar oil. There was nothing wrong with it, chain brake was together wrong, sorted that, got a bit excited flipping it back and forth with out it on the saw, I guess the drum limits the distance the band moves and I broke a hardened collar thats on one of the pins. Still works. Given it needs a new oil pump might be a good parts saw. Bar is pretty shot too, dressed down too much and theres not enough height where it goes into the saw.

I cut some wood with it and its doesnt do a bad job. Its no Husky or stihl or even my grandfathers old echo, well its quieter than the echo, but it does a fair job.
Won this one Cheap off eBay. My mate picked it up for me, adjusted the chain, sharpened it and tells me he didnt use it. I told him he should have gone nuts.
ProMac 610. Runs ok.
Got this one cheap off eBay, cheap enough that even with the post down from QLD it was still cheap.
ProMac 650, meant to be a runner, havent fueled it up and tried it yet. Nice clean saw, bar and chain are almost done. Have a new 20" bar and chain here.

Ive seen a few others but for some reason the prices on them have picked up a bit. $30 for a non runner about $70 for a goer is about all i want to pay.
3 saws, 3 different colour schemes.
Wouldnt mind a 3.7 (thats the cubes) a 605 and a 655 just to round out all the different 60ccs that were the same.
Browsing for big old cheap saws. These caught my eye.
7-10A McCulloch

Bought both the above off the same guy, were his Dads saws.
Both for $80. I figure they might be a good investment. Turn over OK, need a good clean. 70ccs apparently so not that big. Actually physically smaller than the 610/650.
Was eyeing off an old super 250 this guy had as well but it went for too much.
If I can find one for the right price, one of the above saws will get an atom drill put on it.
Another tip find from my Dad.
Stihl 051AVE. Ignition module shot. I stripped it down a bit to check the bore. It will live again. New gaskets and some new AV mounts and a kit through the carb and new fuel lines.

Looking for a bar for it, 34 or 46", got a couple of big trees to slab up. But I wouldnt mind an 075 for that instead.
