Thanks heaps Ty.

Thanks for the pics.
Front wheels look like they might be trolley wheels. Back ones look like they have heaps better tyres than mine.
Did he have it running for ya???

Trailer would probably be Ok but i might pass on it. Not worth the hassle and room it would take up. Can buy ride on trailers off eBay pretty regular for under $100.

I had in mind what i was going to make for the old man as far as a trailer goes, wanted to use bigger wheels and a wheelie bin.

Still not a bad trailer to take idea's from, if you undo the little bolt at the front of the box, the box hinges back as a tipper, definitly worth replicating!

Have not had a chance to start it yet, but it will be loud, as the muffler had to be pulled off for the trip (it was 3/4 rusted through, and was alraedy snapping off, would have blown away!)

Not a worry though, we are not near any neighbors!

Cheers
Ty

The one i have here has no muffler. lol
I dont think i have a G65 motor that does have a muffler.

I kept one off something, its boxy shape, thinking i could make some sort of adapter. Was going to try adapting a muffler off something like a GX160 or maybe a touch bigger.

Bob, essentially the size of a muffler has to be proportional to the capacity of the engine. If it is not you have to settle for either less sound reduction, or more back pressure (which reduces power, and may even burn the exhaust valve under sustained full power). A GX160 is 160 cc, and from memory the G65 is about 400 (don't have my real computer running, I'm using the backup for obscure reasons). Also the exhaust port size tends to be in line with capacity, so you'd probably have to modify the GX160 muffler to get it to match the G65's port.

I think the G65 on this is 240cc, I dont know much about it, but if you look at the 4th picture, the engine has:

"Honda Motor"
"240cc G65-"

cast into it.

The muffler goes straight up and rises to about 40cm above the hood, maybe a bit more, I will pop up a picture of the muffler tomorrow.

The picture in the add should show it.

Cheers
Ty

Sure if you need more then let me know.No haven't had time to look at it.Only to move it around the yard.Nothing in tool box, just a bit of dirt and a spider. He wasn't happy by me looking at him.You didn't answer my question about the muffler.

Sorry didnt see the question. Yeah, if ya want the muffler, go for it. Ive got one std G65 muffler here so i might just use it, or make something up myself.

Can you do us a favor and grab a can and slip it over the exhaust and put a pop rivet in it to hold it there. Just want to be sure that no water gets in the exhaust. Beer can with the top caved in or a dog food tin or similar. Could probably even use a yogurt tub or something like that.

Cheers, Bob.

OK cool thanks Bob.Yes I will put something over the exhaust. Some sort of can,I might even wrap it in packing wrap.I'll work something out. It's sitting next to the shed and under a bush so it won't get all the whether on it.I think I have a spare trap I can put over it as well.Sorry I can't put it any where else,I just don't have a lot of shed space here.

Oh I see well I guess that would work better I guess putting a trap on has it problems like keeping it on in the wind. Can it is.
