You'll need to get the water out of the crankcase as well as the cylinder. The emulsified oil may or may not have protected the crankshaft bearings - the oil and water usually separate after a while, and then the water does bad things. It may only be emulsified in the pictures because you had been trying to start it.

No well lucky the water and the oil had stayed together. So I have cleaned out the cylinder and the crank is fine. All looks good now.Just have to do a new head gasket and put back together.I'm happy with how it turned out.I do believe that once I have it back together it should go.Hey Joe I don't suppose you have a spare wheel for it it? The one on the left rear has a flat spot.I'd say it looks like form the heat of the fire.Unfortunately I had a 12 hour day today so I guess no putting it back together now.So hopefully tomorrow afternoon.

I get that in a lot of machiens here, especially after winter, a few decent dews, etc. I usually pull the cord on everything every few days to keep things moving, maybe thats wheat kept the oil and water mixed...

Cool I just don't have a wheel like it.Actually if you have hubcaps to that would be good.As I think 2 of them a slightly melted.

All good news here she runs. Was very smoky when she first started, but it cleared up fairly quickly.Didn't run to great to start with, but after a few minutes (just a little above idle) she came good.Ran it for about 5 minutes.Tomorrow I will give it a good run. Will take some pictures and even a video.Which I will put on you-tube.Joe you wouldn't recognize it now.Painted the engine and cleaned up the rest of it.Even took engine of the base as there was that much junk under the motor.I think there was half of somebody's lawn under it.Joe,don't worry about the wheels and hubcaps.I have ordered some new one's.As I want to keep the fresh look. After all it is dated 1996 but the way it looks now it looks more 2006 (that was hardy used) or 2011.Will show the pictures tomorrow.

Cant wait to see the pictures.
If you are not to bothered about keeping it original a 2004+ VS160 or VSX160 Victa dress cowl might look pretty good on there!
Cheers Ty

Looking amazing, and yep, it certainly does not look 15 years old!
I have some end-caps for the lower handle bars you can have, as the ones in it appear to have come out.
Cheers Ty
