Yes I did thanks Rodeobob, and I got it almost dead straight you can hardly tell it was even bent.I haven't put it back in yet.I will a little later today.I suspect that it will work a lot better now.It was in bad shape.

Looks to me like maybe it got bent while fitting the carb to the motor.

Not sure but the twin looks like its up high enough, some of the old g4's you need to pull the rubber elbow off the carb before removing it as turning the carb with it on squishes it all up and stuff.

Yeah could have been.I noticed it when I first pulled it apart.I scratched my head and thought maybe it should have been like that, but after putting it back together and noticed that it didn't work correctly. So that was the point I realized it wasn't right.Have fixed it up.Fairly good you would hardly know it was bent.I just haven't put it back on twin (Goliath).Ended up catching a [Censored] cold. Not happy about that.Sat me on my bum all day today.[Censored] colds.

Does any body know of the best place to get fuel lines to fit the Twins.I'd like to get maybe a roll. Not just a 1 metre length. After all they will pretty much fit most other mowers as well.

Best guess would have to be a wholesaler, places like ga spares sell 50m rolls. I am almost certain though you have to be a business to purchase off them.

There was somone selling rolls of victa fuel hose on ebay, it was grey though, a friend of mine got some and it was not tolerant to fuel at all, cracked and perished within weeks of use.

I bought some line of an eBay seller a while back, he lists as 1m buy now, and you can just select to buy X quantity, I got 2m, came as one continuous piece.

I'll dig him up and see if he still has any.

Cheers
Ty

Cap does have some scratches though, like it has been dragged on the ground.Haven't fitted cable yet,or checked on other bases progress.Didn't get back from the coast until late today. So I didn't get a chance to find out.

Got my spare Twin base back today after the patch was welded into it.[Censored] fine job by the look of it.I'm happy with it.Just have to grind, file and sand it down now.It should look fantastic when it is done.Looking forward to seeing it completed now.

So as you can see it all looks good. The Model 5 department store base looks good as well.I would have picked it up but they forgot to do one weld at the handle bar bracket.Hopefully next week.
