I couldn't help myself I walked past it one to many times, and it had to come home with me.After I did get it home.It started on the third pull.I laughed a bit.I didn't really think it would. Although by the look of it,it has some work done it and I'd say just recently. Here's the YouTube like to see it go.

Here are some pictures of her.

The only problem with this one is,I will need to find another base. This one really isn't in the greatest condition.Somebody has tired to batch it up,but very poor job.

I'll let you know if i see anyone selling a G2 for you.

As I mentioned when you were there, this one has an original G2 carby, But someone has sawn the govenor post of, right down at the carby body.

It's a fairly rare carby, but they do pop up now and then, I have most of one here somewhere i bought a few years back, so I will get some pictures up for you!

They had an almost complete MKI VC-160 Auto Drive there the other day, Same as mine, with the green cowl.

The cowl was fairly banged, and someone had pulled the lever bar off, and the dogs out of the wheels, but the gearbox and belt were still intact, as was the full engine etc. I'll get a few pictures of it up when i can!

Cheers
Ty

Later than that, The Auto Drive came out about 1/2 way through the VC-160's MKII run, and by the second 1/2 of the MKIII run, the bases were being pressed with the same cut outs (as seen with your MKIII!)

Also, I'm fairly certain that In-line fuel filter is not original!

I'm sure the filter isn't original as I'm sure the fuel line is for the automotive world.Far to heavy duty for a lawn mower. You didn't answer my question, your dancing around the truth.Maybe it's time to become a politicians.

Sorry, I misread that as an assumption, Yes, I grabbed it.

It was almost complete, but not complete, with damage to the cowl, and other parts missing, it's not the best restoration project, but it is a great source of parts to help get mine running at it's best.

I'll get some pictures up when i get it out.

It's a sad looking machine, the green cowl is badly damaged, the green starter is gone, the wheels have been disengaged, witch means the overrun gears will be gone, the cable looks to be buggered, the control bar from the top is gone, and it just looks plain neglected.

It appears someone had an issue with the self-drive, so they took the dogs out of the wheel and ripped of the controller (and this is the one with the full metal swing bar controller, not the little plastic lever.

I will get the parts i need from it, then see how the rest is, some i will keep aside, however some parts i wont need.

If the base is good, you can have that Jeffrey, to help start you off.

Cheers

So if I'm right (and I usually am)(ha ha ha,yeah I wished)(who said that?) then this mower should have had an impulse started on it? Now was that the one with the chrome housing that goes around it? or was it a different one.As I will need to find the correct starter at some point.

It would have been the one with the chrome housing, Trigger type.

I am using this as a doorstop for my shed at the moment, if its any good for parts I am happy to trade it for another doorstop. Starter works but is lazy, engine turns with compression but I have not run it. has a slide type carby.

What sort of door step are you looking for?

You can, it comes with both cowls, apart from the starter cup the cowl with the second starter should be enough to get jeff out of trouble.

Are you looking to get rid of it?Not that I want the whole thing manly the starter.Unless it's the same base as mine. Then I'm interested.
