Came to me like this, missing the bit that has the model number on it.

Looks like it should be good, but cant tell without the starter.
Has no primer and not sure whats going on with that ignition module.

Im looking for a pull starter for it.
Got a heap of echo ones here if anyone wants to do a swap. I think there might be a MacCulloch ones and a Kazz one too.

Cheers, Bob.

Seems like if it has good compression (both cylinder and crankcase), and the piston isn't scored, it is potentially a good piece of gear provided you can obtain the missing bits at scrap prices. In other words, if the base engine checks out, put it into stock and start looking for parts (which is pretty much what you've done).

Having said that, I went through a sort of old guy's transition on this stuff a couple of years ago. Until then I had a succession of enthusiasms and gathered gear for each, then tossed it all on the nature strip after my interest timed out. What I've done recently is kept stuff that is more or less universal, and thrown out just about everything that is specific to one particular hobby. My days of keeping a shedful of stuff that I "knew" I'd need eventually, are gone. Now I buy what I need, and throw out whatever is left over when the job's done. However, I couldn't run a business like yours that way - I wouldn't have any stock.
