The engine looks like a Villiers 3G. If so, it's a 75cc two stroke with a 43mm bore. I've got one on a SB Bonmow dating back to the late fifties.

Thankyou for that information, i dont know much about Villiers, all i know to date this one, is that the peach tin mower (the one seen) was build 1952, how old the engine was then, i cant tell, but it did come off a reel mower.
do you know if the 3G was around before 52, if so, it would be great to have a name for this engine!
