Hi i am tryng to find out more about the Villiers engine used to create the first victa, not the rotomo, but the original peach tin, as if i can ever track one of these down, i would like to try my hand at making a reproduction peach tin mower, (Repro's are never as cool as the real thing, but like hell I'll ever get that!)

This is the engine, anyone recognise?

Especially when you consider how far the blades passed beyond the wheel line!

and you want one no wonder you refer to yourself as an INSANE MOWER COLLECTOR ROFLMAO

you could damage yourself very easily

The engine looks like a Villiers 3G. If so, it's a 75cc two stroke with a 43mm bore. I've got one on a SB Bonmow dating back to the late fifties.

Thankyou for that information, i dont know much about Villiers, all i know to date this one, is that the peach tin mower (the one seen) was build 1952, how old the engine was then, i cant tell, but it did come off a reel mower.

do you know if the 3G was around before 52, if so, it would be great to have a name for this engine!
