Hi guys. Long time no post. I have just spent over an hour looking through some awesome threads. Anyway, I am looking for a replacement fuel cap for my Tanaka TBC 270S Brushcutter because the one it came with has cracked frown. It doesn't have to be a genuine Tanaka part, but it does have to fit good and of course not crack on me again. Any ideas where I can get one from and what would be a reasonable price to pay?

Cheers

wazzbat,

It depends on the serial number as to the cap required:

595-01690-90 below serial # C189400

595-01682-90 above serial # C189401

You can get pricing from the online store HERE

Thanks for the reply Bruce but I can't find a serial number on it anywhere? Do I have to take some covers off or something???

Thanks Bruce. I was looking for a No starting with C. There is a yellow sticker on the motor casing which is E230302. Does that mean the right part I need is 595-01682-90 ??? Thanks again for your help.

I just did a bit more of a google and found a part number for the fuel cap of a Tanaka TBC 270PF on the Tanaka USA website. I'm assuming this is the same model as mine just with a different name (being in the USA)? Anyway, the part number is 5950168090. So it is close to the part numbers you listed Bruce but it is different? Any ideas??? Cheers.
