How does one get that funny looking clip off the end of the axle so one can get the wheels and bearings off on a Rover mower?

Sold all the Victa's now into Rovers, have 2, need more.

To get the spring clip off (aptly names the jesus clip in my work shop as I usually say "Jesus where did that fly off to") can be gently removed by levering begind them with a flathead screwdriver from several angles, just be careful and try to watch where it flies off to. If you happen to break them they are fairly cheap at your local mower shop.

They do bend a bit when removed but once pushed back on they generally take shape again.

Well that worked a treat, Didn't even have one fly away. What are these bearings worth at a mower shop? (rough price)

Probably about as much as a cheap chinese mower. Havent bought any but i seem to remember about $15, not sure if it was a pair or each.

They are a bugger to get off. New clips are 40c from the mower shop up the road.
