DIY Edger
A quick pic of my lawn-edger in the making...Basically a combination of old mowers, scrap metal, a new arc welder and beer...heheh. I've been working on it for a while and although not complete I thought I'd better post an image before I get distracted and start on something else.

Looks like an unusual design - there will be wheels both sides of the cutter. That will mean no cutting near vertical features. I find this wheel-location thing one of the main issues with edgers. It would be nice to be able to choose between wheeling the thing along the curb, and wheeling it along the grass, but to be able to run along curbs you need wheels rather close together laterally. For stability on grass you want wheels rather widely separated laterally. My Alroh Imp has widely spaced wheels, but the prototype of the same model shown in a picture I got from Alroh has six wheels: an extra pair in between the widely separated ones, so you can run it along either curbs or grass. I should try to track down an extra pair of wheels and convert mine to have that feature.

Nice design - I hope that you fit a NICE big oiled foam air filter to that... otherwise smoke won't be the only thing blowing out the exhaust.

Unusual design Craig, can't wait to see it when the blade set-up is finished...

looks like a good thing, Don't forget to fit a good solid movable (adjustable) guard!
