Hi Bruce
I brought a couple of victa mowers cheap ($10 for 3 including one good alloy body with no damage, all are Victa 2 strokes)

.
One had a bad magneto and starter. I replaced the starter with one I had and then replaced the magneto with one I had that works - It was removed from a mower that someone ran on straight 4 stroke fuel but still had good spark. Now the mower does not seem to have a spark, I removed the cut out wires to isolate the magneto and still no spark. I thought that the gap between the magneto and the flywheel could be wrong - too large. What is the correct gap that should be between the magneto and the flywheel.
Also are all plastic carbies interchangeable - ie can I put a older carby on a newer engine block.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
