Hello gslibowski,

In answer to your question about the saw not reving up I need to know what it is doing when you hit the throttle. Does it splutter or does it just die.

If you take off the muffler it has a spark arestor which is fine mesh that carbons up and blocks. Just clean it with a wire brush so the holes are clear. bigshock

If you still have a problem post again.

Here is what WM_R Member # 563 said

I have access to most HOMELITE Owners Manuals & Parts Books.
BTW HOMELITE originally used 16:1 oil, then added 32:1 in the 1960's +/-. They now only sell 32:1 & EXACT MIX, which is 2.6 oz to a gallon or 4 liters.

Try to PM him for information abbout your saw. rockon
