Homelite was bought out by John Deere and getting any parts is near impossible. As for McCullough last I heard they are OUT of BUSINESS. No new parts available unless they are NOS

Well I can provide almost any HOMELITE part you want,,, News of our demise is a bit premature. Since buying HOMELITE(after JohnDEERE,s inept treatment and liquidation) Ryobi Power Tools has begun putting HOMELITE back together. There have been some backorders and confusion in rebuilding while they moved the plant out of MEXICO to So. Carolina, but all-in-all it has gone OK. ------------------ I am a current oldtime HOMELITE dealer with an extensive inventory of NEW, NOS & USED parts. Check or credit card thru PayPal at https://www.paypal.com/ Shipping is free for parts over $50 within the contintal US...Will evaluate any others I accept Money Order or PayPal: Bill Walcott Brauchi Bros Inc-almost 50 yrs with HOMELITE 700 N 12th Marysville KS 66508 USA 785-562-3539

Bill, I been searching for information on an old Homelite (either it's a Super XL, an XL/XL2 Super XL-12) I don't know as the paint has worn off. But I remember it being something like that. It has the The UT No. is 62058. Serial No. is 401620149. Homelite Textron. Charlotte NC USA 28217.
The engine is on a small trencher made by the Ditcher Saw Co., inc. P.O. Box C, St Marys, W. Va.25176. 304-684-3800. Model No. A0100. Part No. 3614838. Serial No. 101-1725.
The engine has an Ignition Modual 94711CS instead of points. What are the clearances of this CDI unit? The air Filter is the 63589 type. Where could I get a manual? What the heck! Any information you can give me regarding tuning etc, would be great.
Regards John Barr

Hi Joe, I havent heard anything as yet. I have found out that the machine is an SXL-AO. But the UT number dosen't match. ???. It would be great If you could find the manual again. please. I'd love to get the old Ditcher working again. I have an old 1942 Farmers Boy I've done up as well. I got most of the tools that came with it as well, Grass slasher, rotary hoe and various plows, scarifyers and planters etc. I reconditioned it in the Railways workshop before I retired.
Regards John Barr
