Here is a short video about the Closure of the Tecumseh factory on 15th December 2008.

Hi Bruce, yeah mate, it is sad to see another small engine manufacturer bite the dust, especially as the demise seemed to occur after the original family left the company and not caused by the 'global recession!
At this rate it looks like the only 'american' manufacturer will be Briggs and Stratton.

Briggs & Stratton are now making some engines in China and you can tell because the 3.75 models that are made there have a ripple affect on the casing.

I am playing with an old Kawasaki Fa130d very impressive engine for a side valve.

Yes they are a big step up from the briggs and tecumseh engines and they are as good if not better than the Honda's.
