Novice
Hi all, new to this Forum so any help would be great.I have 2 orange utes at present and a couple of weeks ago all fine,BUT on last sunday will call it V1 started normally and after 5 minutes it had a cough and then nothing.So me being prepare I had V2 as a back up But nothing again,now I not happy both going on strike all out. This is what I look at so far.

V1
Checked for spark all OK big blue spark
Pulled the carby of and blew all the s--t of
checked the float & needle.
Still no go.

V2
Checked for spark not real good at all

Just wondering where to next.Plus are there any specail tools needed to work on these engine.

1. Check the fuel?
2. How old is the fuel?
3. Does the fuel have water in it?
4. Check fuel flow to the carby.
5. Replace spark plug.
6. Try to start.
7. If it does not start check plug for moisture.
8. If wet check carby again.

If you don't have the workshop manual I would suggest that you download it from the parts list and manuals area because it is worth reading.

Also post picture of the units you are working on as it is easier to solve the problem you have because you have not told us what model carbies you are working on as well as machine models.

The information you have supplied is not enough to be able to help with the correct advice. cheers2
