I was driving home tonight (with a 18 special in the boot) and saw an old fridge and some other stuff someone had dumped on the foot path just around the corner from my place, I spotted a mower in the other stuff. I almost locked the brakes up when I saw what it was! HAHHAAHHAHA. Looks like its been out in the weather a bit and the pull start rope is broken I will see it it goes soon.

Nice score. Doesn't look to bad for being out in the weather. How many you have now? haha

Can anyone help out with the model? I know its a Mulchmaster but not sure on the model number?

It does not have the self propelled option?

Thanks

Got it going today. It had a few problems, but nothing too hard. I guess it has been a council mower or something similar due to the 'U2' on the front. It does not look like it has any maintenance done for a long time though. Should be a good thing though.

Finally getting around to doing this one up, should be back together in the next couple of days. I gave the base a couple of coats of Galmet Macho Grey hammertone. This was a perfect match to the original paint.

Thanks guys.

Getting close now, just waiting for the paint to dry on the handles.

Yes, we have hard trash council removal at this time of year. Look online and find out your local ones. I found a almost brand new, old Malvern Star bike with a for free sign on it. Hook the trailers up folks! Try and not slam on the brakes though. Wonderful find; beats the new mowers at those big hardware stores hands down. Nice power torque Victa. Congatulations!

Ok, all done and mowed the lawn today. Did I mention this thing goes like a shower of S H I T!!!!! By far the most powerfull power torque motor I have seen. I think I will keep it, just so I can do the council strip, lift the flap on the side shoot and spray the cars driving past!

If you were to sell, I have seen the same model in much worse condition go for $350 on eBay. Just a rough figure for you.

Yeah, I have been watching them on flea bay as well Joe. All of them seem to be the self propelled ones, going for about $300ish. This one is not self propelled, and someone will need to buy it who is a mowering contactor etc I would assume, since it has no catcher. Might keep it as I will hopefully be moving out of Sydney by the end of the year! YIPPEE. woot

I have a similar one I will be working on soon, it is a PRO 550 and it has the nice full crank engine, self proppelled, the lot.
