Hi I have a greenfield and have a sloping acreage. I decided to increase the size of the motor and change the sprockets to increase the speed . It was quick
Stupid idea as it flipped on top of me with the blades still running even though I could switch it off it still was dieseling with the motor inverted.
Scared the &$&*#out of me took me a while to push it over as no one was around to help.!
Just a warning

G'day peterklos,

As it turns out, it was a stupid idea, taking into account the gradient of your acreage. Having said that, I'm glad that you are OK, as you could have suffered very serious injuries, and no one would have known...

Many thanks for your warning, so that others do not try this type of experiment.

Hoping you had a very merry Xmas, despite this unfortunate incident,

Regards,

mice_elf

How much bigger is the motor? Bigger motor won't increase your speed. What sprocket did you increase and by how many teeth? Was it the speed or the slope which tipped it over?

Vanguard 26 hp I have a CNC / waterjet cutting business and made the sprockets, can’t remember the ratio.
It was going too fast across the slope it happened so quick and was pinned underneath and fuel leaking on my legs.

26hp is way overkill for a greenie but is not the cause of it tipping over, they say don't mow on slopes, or go up and down the slope not across it. You were very lucky, people do get killed on these things and Greenies don't have a wide footprint

I'd probably just weigh the front down and put a roll bar on the back.
