Hi guys I have just replaced my 13hp Briggs with a Loncin 452cc (16hp?) engine on my Husqvarna LTH130 (circa 1998). The old engine was going to cost about the same to rebuild (hone or rebore, piston, rings, valves, valve guides, etc) as the new Engine cost. Plus my local shop didn't want to rebuild it. The New Engine cost me $680.00 with 2 years warranty from my local Mower shop.
Anyway, this new engine comes with a fuel pump, my old one was gravity feed. I'm told I don't need to use the Fuel Pump? Is that correct?
Now for the other problem I need help with, the wiring.
This new engine has 2 wires just like the old Briggs.
But this new engine also has 2 wires but they are a Red and a Black.
The Black is listed as Stopping Engine Isolators wire, Black.
The Red is listed as DC (14.5 ~ 15.0V) Wire Red.
Is that the same as the red wire on the briggs from the alternator with the diode in it. Used to charge them battery?
Does that get connected where the old one went, back to the battery?
I might also need help with the throttle & choke hook up as soon as I work out how to add pictures here again.
Any help will be greatly appreciated as always..
Cheers
Steve
