Hi there, can anyone help identify this mower base and engine please? Engine number is 108760 4050 and the number 2-1 cast in the base. Thanks

Thanks for that Norm, roughly what year do you think this would be?These are fairly rare in NZ, I guess everyone bought Masport.

Hi Hawkeye,

This Victa looks like a VC sports model if the base was orange.

https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/52244/all/victa-vc-sports.html

This mower could be a bitsa ,one way is to get the model number ID is from the air cleaner cover but
sometimes that can be missing or replaced with another.

Looking at the engine number it could be 1976 and the snorkel would indicate it had a G4 carby.

You would think it's an export model Victa with a160 cc full crank 2 stroke motor.

Cheers
Max.

Hi Max
Yes you’re right regarding the g4 carb, the air intake is on the lh side and it has no primer bulb, it is also an export model as I'm in NZ. I am fairly sure it is original but the cap on the air cleaner is missing. I have been doing a bit of reading and i think it may be a V174. I plan to get it running properly once I get a few other projects finished.
