Yesterday I was working on a 13hp Chonda pressure washer it has only been used a couple of times but it had E10 fuel in it and had been left for 6/7 years. I pulled the carby and put it through the ultrasonic and was able to save it. Put it back together and 2 pulls and it fired up, all good. I went to start it again today to check the pump was ok and no sign of starting. Checked and no spark, I can't believe it. Now I have to cut the battery box off, (can't get to the welds to cut it off) so that I can remove the pull start and fan shroud so I can get to the coil

A mate bought a 7.5 HP Chonda off some online site a while back. Dirt cheap. It turned up brand spanking new, still sealed in the box. First thing he noticed was no fuel cap. He thought it must be in the bottom of the box and didn't give it another thought for a few weeks until he took the engine out the box. No sign of any fuel cap! The seller wanted him to return the entire engine as he had no caps in stock. Seeing he got it dirt cheap, he came to the conclusion that a cap was more affordable than return shipping on the engine. Seller refunded him the cost of a new tank cap. Made me wonder what else might be missing on some of these engines??? Hopefully nothing "important"! eek

The Chinese engines are what they are, cheap and usually not too bad, odd problem so you can cop that but it is still annoying
