I am seeking help to identify the model and hopefully year of manufacture for a Scott Bonnar 17 that was given to me.
The Mower number is 20949
Appreciate any knowledge shared
Cheers from Tasmania
Paul

Hi SilverLeaf,

It's a Scott Bonnar 45 , there should be some stamped numbers on the engine cowl to get a date from.

Thanks Max
That gives me a lot of information to work with. The mower is actually a 14" not the 17" I thought. On first inspection there doesn't seem to be number stamped into the engine cowling but there is the Mower number 20949 stamped onto a plate as shown in one of the photos of my earlier entry.

I will take my time absorbing the material you have provided.

Thanks again

Hi Paul,

The number should be on the side of the cowl , at this stage I'd say seventies or early eighties.

The other SB plate in your images, I've never heard of anyone deciphering the last digits as that information would
have been destroyed/ lost decades ago.

Cheers
Max.
