Any info on how to change the starter pulley on a Ryobi 725r trimmer will be appreciated. The pulley cord snapped. Thanks.

abohair,

Follow these steps:

1. Remove the 4 screws around clutch housing(the one that hold the shaft/tube to engine).

2. Remove spark plug and place some starter rope down plug hole towards the exhaust port side.

3. Use torx screw diver (tx20),put down centre of clutch drum and undo clutch drum.

4. Undo clutch anti clockwise.

5. Remove screws holding starter housing to body.

6. Remove screw/s holding starter pulley in housing then take pulley off and replace rope.

7. Reassemble in reverse sequence.

If you follow these directions you should be ok. cheers2
