Anyone else had an absolute gutful of this current wet cycle already? It must have been a month or so where there's been no more than 1 or 2 days without rain.

I'm around Coffs harbour and it's been shocking. Scary thing is that this is only the start of the wet La Nina summer. The grass doesn't seem to understand that it's incredibly unfair to keep growing when there's no way known I can get out and deal with it.

Incredibly destructive stuff that much rain - not to mention all the knock on effects that are PITA's though much less serious e.g mold, rotting plants, damage to driveways etc.

Drainage is a particularly tricky area to sort out retroactively. Anyway here's to what appears to be another week or non-stop rain. :-/

What a time to start this topic.
I just got home after the knuckle that works the windscreen wiper on my 1989 Laser failed and had me without wipers.
I had put in a little piece of rag to keep the ball joint that works the wiper from popping out with success fit a year, but it failed and the rag was disintegrating. I had another piece in the car but it wouldn't keep it in.
When I tried fitting two pieces, I couldn't get it in.
Anxious to get home, I finally thought to use my needle nose vice grips to push it on with and it worked -finally.
Trouble now is you can't get the part new so I'll have to hunt down another KE laser to get a used one that's still good. Wow it was stressful.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

I hope it helps the lawn. The best lawn we had was after 2 weeks of rain. Didn't last long though.
