The great Australian Consumers’ Association’s Choice Magazine was
first published in 1960. This seven-page article – on Electric lawnmowers –
was the opening feature of the February, 1975 edition.



Five Electric lawnmowers are reviewed: -

FLYMO Electric 47
SUNBEAM 18” Twincut.

REEL MOWERS
BLACK & DECKER Lawnrazor D689.
SCOTT BONNAR 14” Mains Electric.

Yes, it’s hard to realize that these mowers are now half-a-century old!

This is an average article.
For me, the interesting bit is the remembering of the
Black & Decker mowers. These are the precursors of
the ‘toy mowers’ we see sold in stores today.
