Hello Kind77
I feel I can help here and there is a mower connection.

My best guess is that this is a Villager outboard.
Villager were mower makers.

The name may have been inspired by a Jerry Anderson's TV series...
Is this a Villager Stingray?

Hope this helps.

Hi CyberJack. Thankyou for your reply. I did see this advert late last night. As i get better with this site i will post more photos and ask more specific questions. I was wondering what model Villiers engine you think it might be? So that when i tear it down i can order parts as necessary. Is it a Villiers 7f? If i am not posting correctly or i am in the wrong arra could you also please advise. Thanking you in advance. Cheers, Jay.

Hi Max. A big thankyou to you for taking the time to reply to a novice like me! Im terrible with technology and i appreciate you sharing your knowledge. I got the engine running yesterday, (a lot of blowback through silencer). So looks like i will at least be up for a new set of rings). Thanks again, the info is very helpful, and a good read. Cheers, Jay.

Hi again. I have tried (in vain) to find parts for the Villiers 7f. I have several british bikes, morrison reel mowers, etc and usually use villiersservicesuk for my parts. Unfortunately i cant find gasket sets, piston rings, etc for the 7f. If anyone knows anywhere i can find parts for the 7f it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Cheers, Jay.

G'day Jay,

VACES in NSW are always worth trying; https://vaces.com.au/

And Rustic Spares for gaskets, https://rusticspares.wordpress.com/

Pistons and rings etc can be had from JP Pistons in Adelaide; https://www.norndaautomotive.com.au/jp-pistons.html
