Hi all
Some advice on chain tension adjustment
I understand that I first slide the large flat metal bracket attached to the sprocket 45 degrees up wards, along its plane...if that makes sense...this will then enable me to set the two smaller chains tensions (half an inch)
Once that is done, I then adjust the plastic chain adjuster to achieve the half inch chain tension on the large chain.

Today i loosened the two bolts holding the flat plate to the side of the chassis (that in turn holds the large sprocket) ...i attempted to slide it up and to the right to increase tension. It however did not want to move 45 degrees back and up, it only moved only upwards at both bolt points.
Is there any tips ,do i need to use piece of wood and a hammer to persuade it to slide ? there is definitely room to move as there's almost all of the u shaped bolt cutout to move into.

Diagram attached, thanks advance.

Hello alexjohn
I think I understand the issue.

I guess it means that a chain(s) are stretched or of incorrect length.
This is a simple system, but I thank you for the idea that the second
and third chains be adjusted before the primary one, when the second
and third chain need adjusting.

The primary chain is the most prone to wear and stretch
because it does more work.

Loosening of the landroll chain assembly can only move the sprockets
in limited orbital directions.

If these limits are exceeded, then there is a stretched or incorrect
chain length fitted. Sprockets may have worn to un-serviceable levels too.

I feel you can help folk here.
Please let us know how you go.
