This was put out on the footpath...... a mate grabbed it, took it home and tried to mow the lawn. He didn't read the sign.....
So I got it today, good ali base,, haven't had one for ages.....
not sure of year , but old catcher, and Chinese engine, special disk with holes everywhere. . Good tread on wheels and base is pretty good.
I'll see what I can build as I have another PT engine....
I like to keep up with repairs, don't like stuff just ageing on my property......
My mate visited a couple of days back, had a look at something in the backyard.....and exclaimed S#*t everywhere..............
I aim at shipshape so I like to move things....... maybe with the rain, people will buy a mower or trimmer.....
Lucky again

You lucky thing Speedy,
you should be able to create a desirable mower out of that.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

No spark and this is the worst piston score I have seen. There were small metal fragments in the engine...

Yeah some young meat head has done it That's how I scored a good body on the side of the road recently. Prepare for more and more of this as the ignorance spreads.

The Statesman motor was good, needed a starter carb and blade disk from this 6 mil one. All together now and runs well.
I greased the axles. It even has a power cut off, the only knob was a big one, but I can't miss that.
I'll keep this one..
cheers

The beauty of those alloy decks is there's plenty of catchers out there that will fit.

Glad you had a starter for it. Sleek machine.
