Hello ODK history lovers,
Here are the Operating Instructions for the Victa Mustang
and Victa Sports for the 1975-76 season.

These were Victa’s top-end domestic rotaries of the day,
and the first to use the then new G4 Carburettor.
The Victa Code is listed as V165.

These were the days when manuals were half-decent;
encompassing both operating and a parts list.
[and not given in a wasteful 50 languages].

PART TWO – The Operating Instructions
NOTE: There is a lesson to be learnt here about the Victa Codes system.

It can be deceptive if one doesn’t get it …
The Victa Code concept covered the commonality
of a few basic parts – blade holder, blades, spark plug,
air filter, throttle cable, starter, snorkel and catcher.

The V165 is listed in my Victa Code book as a ‘Cortina’,
and the season is 1974-75!

I hope you get the idea: the Victa Code will get you
close for dating the mower, but it can be deceptive in
identifying the actual mower you might have.

The Victa Code could encompass multiple years and
multiple models for the same Victa Code.
